About
Shikha is an Advocate-on-Record, Supreme Court of India and has vast experience in general and commercial litigation. She heads the dispute resolution and regulatory practice at Veritas Juris. She has expertise in all core discipline including but not limited to Telecom, Media and Technology (TMT), Data Privacy, Infrastructure Sector, Aviation, Retail Manufacturing, Education, Pharmaceutical, Real estate, Logistics etc. She specialize in Civil, Commercial and Regulatory disputes and has been regularly representing start-ups as well as established companies & individual clientele before the diverse fora such as Sectoral Regulators, Commission & Adjudicatory bodies like RERA, Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal, Competition Commission, NCLT & NCLAT, National Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission (NCDRC), State Commission, Supreme Court of India, High Courts and District Courts. Shikha is also representing DDA in High Courts as a panel lawyer.
Shikha has in-depth sectoral knowledge of TMT, advises to telecom companies on diverse policy, regulatory and legal issues. Within regulatory and policy, she advises regularly on the legal and regulatory issues for telecom and related services in India including advice on complex “techno legal” issues relating to Data services (ISP & IXP), Access services (UL, MVNO), Career services (IP-1, VNO, NLD, ILD, M2M & OSP) Satellite services (VSAT & INSAT) etc. She also advises on data protection & privacy laws.
Some of the key assignments handled/negotiated/and advised, include the guidelines and policy decision of DoT for allocation of Spectrum, Microwave Charges calculated by DoT, excess usage charges for Spectrum, Audit of Private Telecom Service Providers by Comptroller Auditor General, Spectrum liberalization, Spectrum re-farming, regulatory regime for Internet Exchanges, demand levied by the Government, Adjusted Gross Revenue, Spectrum Trading and Spectrum sharing, Roll out obligations, disputes relating to revision of FBG, implication of TCCPR-2018 etc.
Some of the key assignment handled in general and commercial litigation includes disputes regarding power purchase agreement & adoption of tariff, disputes between home-buyers & developers, represented investors & ARC in chit fund case, John doe orders, arbitration proceedings for corporate entity, Infringement and assignment of trade mark, commercial court matters etc. During her stint as a practicing lawyer, Shikha has worked with the office of Mr. Neeraj Kishan Kaul (Senior Advocate), Agarwal Law Associates and Luthra & Luthra Law Office. Since 2014, she has her independent practice.
